モリブデン入りのエンジンオイルを最近使用するようになって、エンジン回転が滑らかになり、アクセルを踏んだ時のフィーリングも快適です。
実際、モリブデン添加オイルというのは、エンジンにとって良いのですか。

そうなんです。前々回、部分合成のモリブデンオイル5Ｗ-20を使用したら快適でした。
前回は、モリブデンが添加されていない部分合成油（5Ｗ-30）に交換したら、交換したメリットが感じられず、そのオイルは使いたくなくなりました。
今回は、前回と同じ5Ｗ-30のモリブデン入りの鉱物油に交換したら、すごく快適になりました。部分合成油より全然ＯＫ。
走行距離は5万ｋｍを超えたので、今後も使用するか迷ってます。

モリブデン知識

原子番号 42 の元素。元素記号はMo。クロム族元素の一つ。

モリブデンとは銀白色の硬い金属（遷移金属）。
常温、常圧で安定な結晶構造は、体心立方構造 (bcc) で、
比重は 10.28、融点は2620℃、沸点は4650℃（融点、沸点とも異なる実験値あり）。
空気中では酸化被膜を作り内部が保護される。高温で酸素やハロゲン元素と反応する。
アンモニア水には可溶。熱濃硫酸、硝酸、王水にも溶ける。
原子価は +2 価～ +6 価。輝水鉛鉱（MoS2など）に含まれる。
資源としては、アメリカで約30%、チリで約30%など、北南米で世界の過半数を産出している。

モリブデンは、人体（生体）にとって必須元素で、尿酸の生成、造血作用、体内の銅の排泄などに関わる。
微生物の窒素固定に関しての酵素(ニトロゲナーゼ)にも深く関わっており、
地球上の窒素固定量の70%以上は、モリブデンが関与していることになる。

また、植物にとっても必須元素であるため、モリブデン酸のナトリウム塩やアンモニウム塩の形で、肥料として販売されている。
