However, due to molybdenum and copper is immiscible, using conventional preparation process it is difficult to meet the higher requirements of new applications area. Through experiments using sol- spray drying - calcining - Hydrogen reduction method can produce good performance fine-grained molybdenum copper alloy and to explore new application areas of molybdenum-copper alloy provides a prerequisite.
Fine-grained molybdenum copper alloy production processes are as follows:
1.Using ammonium paramolybdate (NH4) 6Mo7O24·4H2O and copper nitrate Cu (NO3)· 3H2O as raw material to make up sol by molybdenum 70%, copper 30% (mass fraction) ratio formulation.
2. The sol after spray dried to obtain a composite salt precursor powder.
3. Precursor powder after 450℃sintered, processing hydrogen reduction can obtain ultrafine molybdenum-copper composite powder.
4. The powder was pressed under 400MPa pressure into the sample blanks. And then pre-sintered the blanks at 850 ℃, after sintered and heat preservation can obtain molybdenum-copper alloy.
Experimental results show that the sintering temperature during the preparation, the time and the oxygen content of the powder has a great influence on the properties of the molybdenum copper alloy. Sintered at 1050 ~ 1200 ℃, the material can be quickly densification; heat preservation for 60 minutes after sintering at 1050 ℃, the relative density of the alloy can reach more than 90%. And the size of grain is fine, fibrous tissue distribution, the tensile strength can reach 755MPa, elongation of 6.41%.
