TZM Rings

These rings are made by Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum material, which is known as TZM. It is famous for higher recrystallization temperature, higher strength, hardness and good ductility at room and elevated temperatures than unalloyed Molybdenum. In addition, TZM alloy (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) exhibits good thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure, good corrosion resistance and is machinable.

F．モリブデン過剰摂取のリスク
モリブデンは過剰に摂取しても速やかに排泄されるため、健康な人では通常の食生活で過剰症が問題となることは、ほとんどありません (3) 。
モリブデンの急性中毒では、下痢を伴う胃腸障害を起こし、昏睡状態・心不全により死に至るとされています (3) 。慢性中毒では、関節の痛みや高尿酸血症など、痛風の様な症状が起こることがあります (3) 。

C．モリブデンの特性 (単位・化学的安定性)
モリブデンは、元素記号Mo、原子番号42、原子量95.94の銀白色の金属です。熱濃硫酸には溶けますが、水、塩酸、希硫酸には溶けません (7) 。

D．モリブデンの吸収や働き
モリブデンは胃や小腸で容易に吸収されます (6) 。モリブデンの栄養状態は、硫黄-銅の相互作用によって大きく変化するといわれており (6) 、食品に含まれるモリブデンの平均的な生物学的有効性は、現時点では約75%と見積もられています (1) 。生体内ではモリブデンは肝臓と腎臓に多く存在し、キサンチンオキシダーゼ、アルデヒドオキシダーゼ、亜硫酸オキシダーゼの構成成分となっています (1) 。

E．モリブデン不足の問題
モリブデン不足はどのようにしておこるか？
モリブデンは通常の食事から充分摂取することが出来るので、不足することはほとんどありません (6) 。
モリブデン不足になるとどうなるか？
長期間の完全静脈栄養施行により、頻脈、多呼吸、夜盲症などを引き起こすことがありますが、モリブデンの投与により症状は改善されます (3) 。

A．モリブデンとは？

モリブデンは輝水鉛鉱という鉱石から発見された金属で、硫黄と結合しやすく、地球上の窒素サイクルや硫黄サイクルに大きくかかわっています (3) 。人の体内では、酸化還元反応を触媒するモリブデン酵素の構成成分としてはたらき、食品では穀類、豆類、種実類に豊富に含まれます (6) 。モリブデンは通常の食事で充分に摂取することができ、また、他の重金属に比べて比較的毒性が低いため、過剰症が問題となることはほとんどありません

Molybdenum Fabricated Parts

Many high temperature industrial furnaces use (moly) molybdenum components for such things as elements, element supports, power terminators, and process fixtures. Hot Isostatic Press (HIP) construction requires shells fabricated from molybdenum sheets. These are used to support the heating elements, and may also act as shielding. Likewise, flat heating elements made from moly sheet are used in vacuum and hydrogen furnaces. Heat shielding and other furnace components and structures help round out the use of moly in the furnace industry.
